After a trial period, Senshi Ryu Martial Arts now offers Yoga classes in addition to our martial arts programs.
Yoga is a discipline discipline which focuses on bringing harmony between body and mind. The word 'Yoga' itself comes from the Sanskrit root 'Yuj', which means to 'join' or 'Unite'.
Yoga has been found to improve quality of life through increasing strength and flexibility, reducing stress, anxiety and insomnia, helping to reduce heart rate and blood pressure, and improving aches and pains such as back pain.
We think it pairs well with Martial Arts training, but of course it can be practised as a stand alone discipline.
Our first Yoga class runs on a Monday night from 7.00pm - 8.00pm at Kingsbury High School, Currently we are using the Library in the Upper School in Princes Avenue, Kingsbury, London NW9 9JR, however the hall used may switch around a little as we bed-in.
